| 2 pound(s) round steak |
| 2 tablespoon(s) oil |
| 1/4 cup(s) soy sauce |
| 1 cup(s) chopped onion |
| 1 garlic clove, minced |
| 1 teaspoon(s) sugar |
| 1/2 teaspoon(s) salt |
| 1/4 teaspoon(s) pepper |
| 1/4 teaspoon(s) ground ginger |
| 16 ounce(s) tomatoes, cut up |
| 2 large green peppers, sliced |
| 1/2 cup(s) cold water |
| 1 tablespoon(s) corn starch |
Slow cooked pepper steak - Grandma Hardy Directions
- Cut beef into strips, brown in oil in a skillet. Transfer to a slow cooker
- Combine the next seven ingreients, pour over beef. Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours or until meat is tender.
- Add tomatoes and pepper, cook on low for 1 hour more.
- Combine the cold water and cornstarch to make a paste, stir into liquid in slow cooker and cook on high until thickened.
- Serve over noodles or rice
