1 gallon, sliced cucumbers
4 large onions, sliced
3 cup(s) sugar
4 green peppers, sliced
1 can pimentos
2 tablespoon(s) salt
2 cup(s) vinegar
3 teaspoon(s) celery seed
2 teaspoon(s) cloves
2 teaspoon(s) tumeric

Bread and Butter Pickles Directions

  1. Sprinkle salt over cucumbers, let stand 2 hours, then drain.
  2. Add onions, peppers, sugar and vinegar. Cook until tender.
  3. Add spices and flour if desired to thicken.
  4. Pour into prepared jars and seal like you would jam
