| 1/2 teaspoon(s) salt |
| 1/2 teaspoon(s) baking powder |
| 1 1/2 cup(s) dark brown sugar |
| 1/2 cup(s) butter |
| 2/3 cup(s) water |
| 2 ounce(s) chopped unsweetened chocolate, cool slightly |
| 3 eggs |
| 1 1/2 teaspoon(s) vanilla |
| 2 teaspoon(s) red food coloring |
Red Velvet Brownies Directions
- Whisk flour, cocoa, salt and baking powder in bowl. Breing brown sugar, butter and water to a simmer in a saucepan. Off the heat, whisk in chopped chocolate, cool slightly.
- Whisk in 2 eggs at a time, add vanilla and food coloring. Spread in pan, bake 20-30 minutes at 350 degrees, then cool
- Top with cream cheese frosting: 8 oz cream cheese, softened, 1/2 cup butter, 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar, 1 tsp vanilla. Mix all together well and frost
