| 1 cup(s) wheat |
| 2 ½ cup(s) water |
| ½ teaspoon(s) salt |
| 3 tablespoon(s) oil |
| 1 beaten egg |
| 1 onion, minced |
| ¼ cup(s) celery |
| 2 tablespoon(s) soy sauce |
| 1 cup(s) cooked ham, chopped |
Chinese Fried Wheat Directions
- Bring wheat, water and salt to a boil and cook for 20-30 minutes. Place in a strainer and drain, rinse with cold water, drain and press wheat to remove as much moisture as possible. Set aside
- Heat oil in heavy skillet, add onion and celery and cook until tender. Then add wheat and heat through. Drizzle beaten egg over top and stir quickly to cook egg. Add soy sauce and ham, heat through, serve.
- You can substitute bacon for the ham and you can add more egg if desired
