| 3/4 cup(s) onion, chopped |
| 2 tablespoon(s) vegetable oil |
| 1 cup(s) ketchup |
| 1/2 cup(s) water |
| 1/2 cup(s) cider vinegar |
| 2 tablespoon(s) sugar |
| 2 tablespoon(s) worcestershire sauce |
| 2 tablespoon(s) honey |
| 2 teaspoon(s) ground mustard |
| 2 teaspoon(s) paprika |
| 3/4 teaspoon(s) salt |
| 1/4 teaspoon(s) pepper |
| 1/8 teaspoon(s) hot pepper sauce |
| 1 large lemon sliced - optional |
Party Franks Directions
- In a saucepan, saute onion in oil until tender. Stir in the next 11 ingredients. Add lemon if desired
- Bring to a boil, reduce heat, simmer uncovered for 20-30 minutes or until slightly thickened, stirring occasionally.
- Discard lemon slices, place hot dogs in a 13x9x2 baking dish, cover with sauce. Bake uncovered for 18-20 minutes or until heated through.
- Keep warm, serve with toothpicks.
- Usually I skip the baking part and just put the hot dogs into the pot with the sauce. Just give it about 5
