For 1 Batch(es) ()

  • 1 pkg, imitation crab
  • 2 cucumbers, diced
  • 1 bunch cilantro, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, diced
  • 5 tomatos, seeded and diced
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1 jalapeno, diced finely
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 2 limes, juiced
  • 1 pound(s) shrimp
  • 2 avocados, diced

Ceviche - Tricia's Directions

  1. Mix together, cucumber, tomatos, onion, avocados, cilantro and peppers. Juice the lemon and limes and pour over. Salt and pepper as needed.
  2. the point of Ceviche is to use raw fish or seafood and the chemical reaction in the lemon and limes do the cooking. But we prefer to use cooked shrimp and imitation crab because where we are its difficult to get fresh fish and some of our family have shellfish allergies.
  3. so at this point we dish up the fish we have chosen and add to the ceviche.
  4. You need to let this sit for a couple hours at least, it's even better over night. check for seasoning. Add garlic if you like and feel free to play around with the fishes or add any other ingredients you like. Think of it as a really good salsa and you'll come up with the right ideas.
