3/4 cup(s) onion, chopped
2 tablespoon(s) vegetable oil
1 cup(s) ketchup
1/2 cup(s) water
1/2 cup(s) cider vinegar
2 tablespoon(s) sugar
2 tablespoon(s) worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoon(s) honey
2 teaspoon(s) ground mustard
2 teaspoon(s) paprika
3/4 teaspoon(s) salt
1/4 teaspoon(s) pepper
1/8 teaspoon(s) hot pepper sauce
1 large lemon sliced - optional

Party Franks Directions

  1. In a saucepan, saute onion in oil until tender. Stir in the next 11 ingredients. Add lemon if desired
  2. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, simmer uncovered for 20-30 minutes or until slightly thickened, stirring occasionally.
  3. Discard lemon slices, place hot dogs in a 13x9x2 baking dish, cover with sauce. Bake uncovered for 18-20 minutes or until heated through.
  4. Keep warm, serve with toothpicks.
  5. Usually I skip the baking part and just put the hot dogs into the pot with the sauce. Just give it about 5
